Inawashiro offers a multitude of options to try out and experience. The list includes low altitude paragliding (height 5-10 m/16-32 ft, distance 50-100 m/164-328 ft), canoeing, boating using a rental boat, pond smelt ice fishing, snowshoeing, nature observation, various crafts, soba noodle making and stained glass creation.

You can enjoy swimming in the lake. There are also plenty of camping sites available like Jokohama with a great view of the setting sun; Shidahama, Tenjinhama in the pine forest with a long and wide shallow sandy beach; and the Tenjinhama sandbank at the estuary of the Nagase-gawa River. Also worth mentioning are Kanizawahama and Nagahama, where the waves are calm enough to allow for easy swimming.

Sailing – JET
The turtle- and swan-shaped boats are a favorite among both adults and children. Also available are wake-boarding lessons, license acquisition lessons for water scooters and 2nd-grade (boat) licenses, as well as motorboat sightseeing cruises.

Camping
Camping sites are scattered in several lakeside spots. Among them are the Biwasawahara Forest Park Campsite, the Kanizawahama Campsite, the Tenjinhama Autocamp at the foot of Mt. Bandai and overlooking Lake Inawashiro, and the Tenmangu Campsite in the Kobirakata Tenmangu Shrine forest and others.

Fishing
Fishing options include the Bandai Fishing Park (Fishing Pond), open year-round and with several kinds of fish such as carp, rainbow trout, char bass etc.; the Oda Fish Farm offering unlimited rainbow trout fishing; and the Bonten Mountain Stream Fishing Pond in the Bandai-Asahi National Park.

Golf
Golf players will appreciate the Nekoma Hotel Inawashiro Golf Course expanding at the gently sloping, hilly foot of Mt. Nunomoriyama and the flat Bonari Plateau Golf Club, framed by the majestic Bandai-Asahi National Park with commanding views of Mt. Adatara on the east and Mt. Bandai on the west.

Set deep in the magnificent nature overlooking Lake Inawashiro there are plenty of ski resorts to enjoy winter sports.

At a superb location with a splendid view of the lake, Inawashiro Ski Resort is suitable even for small children experiencing snow for the first time, while Grand Sunpia Inawashiro fascinates with a thrilling downhill course and also with great views of the lake. From courses planned for beginners to the mildly sloped 30 degrees mogul course, the Listel Ski Fantasia resort offers several variations and so, too, does the Numajiri Ski Resort with 12 courses and the Minowa Ski Resort with its recently constructed Family Ski Slope, allowing both beginning and advanced skiers to enjoy to their heart’s content. Last but not least is everyone’s favorite: the Snow Park Bandai ×2.
